Does Special Collections accept donations?

Special Collections Firestone practice for acquiring materials for its collections is to work through rare book dealers or auction houses, with whom the Library has a long-established relationship, rather than purchasing directly from private individuals. This includes donations.

A list of reputable rare book dealers can be found on the Antiquarian Booksellers of America Association (ABAA) website. 

Due to space considerations, even when our department does receive offers from our associated dealers, the curators tend to be very selective regarding acquisitions.

Special Collections Mudd accepts donations or transfers of records to the Princeton University Archives and the Public Policy Papers. While each division has its own procedures for donations and transfers of most materials, the divisions share the same guidelines for donations of oral histories.
