How much is my book, manuscript, or print worth?

While policy prohibits us from providing authentication, appraisals, or recommendations the website for the Rare Book and Manuscript section of the American LIbrary Association has a very helpful page with information on old and rare materials, as does the about page of the website for the Antiquarian Booksellers of American Association

One approach to obtaining a rough estimate of value is to search online databases (such as the online marketplace Abebooks.com) for individual titles to see if other copies are currently available on the market. Finding your volume on Worldcat.org can also provide insight as to how many copies of a particular title are held by libraries around the world, indicating rarity.

You might also consider contacting an ABAA dealer in your area for an appraisal. Please see the ABAA booksellers page to find ABAA members in your area.
