  • Fund for the Republic Records

    The Fund for the Republic, Inc. Records contain the administrative records of this educational corporation from its inception through its evolution into a think tank. The collection consists of various forms of textual material with a sparse selection of graphic and audiovisual materials.

  • Freedom House Records

    The Freedom House Records contain the administrative records of this organization. The collection consists of various forms of textual, graphic and audiovisual materials. The collection provides an overview of the organization and its activities, primarily through 1993. Many of the more recent records remain in the hands of the organization.

  • William W. Lockwood

    The bulk of the William W. Lockwood Papers relate to the American Institute of Pacific Relations (IPR). These papers specifically document the IPR and Lockwood's activities within the IPR during the McCarthy era, and include minutes, correspondence, conference reports and IPR research projects and publications. A significant amount of the IPR papers concern the investigation of the IPR by Senator Joseph McCarthy and Senator Pat McCarran and the subsequent 1952 Senate Judiciary Subcommittee hearings on the alleged Communist activities of the organization and some of its members.

  • Franklin Book Programs Records

    The Franklin Book Programs Records contain the administrative records of this non-profit, educational organization. The collection contains minutes, correspondence, memoranda, reports, contracts, photographs and other audiovisual material documenting Franklin's twenty-six year existence.

    Assistant Directory, Office of National Estimates, Central Intelligence Agency;
    Deputy Assistant Secretary and Assistant Secretary of Defense, International Security
